Alex Krstic didn't start Spin in a boardroom. He started it on the highway — after years behind the wheel, a lot of hard miles, and a conviction that drivers deserved something better.
Before Spin Logistics existed, Alex Krstic was out there doing what you do — long hauls, early mornings, nights away from home, and miles that most people never see. He drove for years, learning the industry from the seat that matters most: the driver's seat.
Along the way, he didn't just learn the roads. He learned the trucks. Alex taught himself how to maintain and repair his own rig — because when you're out there alone, you need to know how things work. That self-sufficiency shaped everything he would later build.
What he also learned was harder to accept: that the trucking industry too often treats drivers as a commodity. Not as the skilled professionals they are. Not as people with families waiting at home. Just as a means to move freight.
"My goal was to build a company where drivers feel respected, supported, and heard — and where safety and communication remain central to how we operate."
— Alex Krstic, Founder & CEO, Spin LogisticsSo he built the company he wished had existed when he was driving — one where the driver always comes first.
That's the standard we hold ourselves to. Alex built Spin with the understanding that the road is serious business — and that a company that truly respects its drivers has to back that up with action, not just words.
Safety at Spin means daily pre-trip inspections, policies designed to support DOT/FMCSA compliance, and trucks that are maintained before there's a problem — not after. It means dispatch that works with drivers to evaluate options consistent with safety and applicable regulations. It means a culture where speaking up about a concern is encouraged, not penalized.
Because at the end of every run, there's a family waiting. And that's what we're really protecting.
The road doesn't stop at 5pm, and neither do we. When you're out there at 2am and something goes sideways, you need a real person — not a voicemail box, not a ticketing system, ready to help coordinate support.
Our dispatch team knows our drivers. They know your name, your route, and your situation. That's how we built this, and that's how it stays. Because when you need backup, close enough isn't good enough.
Alex built Spin for drivers like you. Come see what it looks like when a company actually puts you first.
